- This collection of works by Brice Canyon are typical of his artistic work of the 1990s. In his artistic practice, Canyon often used appropriated images – from magazines, archives and later the Internet – to create his collaged works, sometimes layering them with silkscreened colours, pressed flowers, or added text. Canyon often used art historical sources juxtaposed with homoerotic images as a way of exploring the interplay between pornography, sexuality, and eroticism.
The text in the left side of the frame reads "Ribbons type messages. This is so and so. Endlessly, eventually." overtop of pressed, yellow flowers. In the right side is a grainy image of someone with their eyes closed.
