Object Description
Item is a photograph of an image from the Image Bank 1984 Project. The event consisted of a call for images to be sent to the Image Bank (Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov) relating to George Orwell's novel "1984". Image is of a collage on graph paper with the text "The 1984 Miss General Idea Pavillion" and "Endless Stretch of Sky, Marcel and BUM BANK, November 5, 1973" printed on the bottom. Image includes a black and white segment with "The World's Greatest Pageant of Light" printed on it, and a purple "Hand of the Spirit" motif rubber stamped on top of an illustration of a light bulb with the GE logo.
