Al Neil performances and works series

Series is composed of records related to Al Neil’s performances and works. Al Neil was Itter’s partner and collaborator from the early 1980s until his passing in November 2017. Neil was a writer, jazz musician, composer, visual artist, and performance artist. He was active in the post-war literary, jazz, and visual arts communities in Vancouver from the 1950s to the 1970s. Series includes textual records related to Neil’s performances in the 1980s, textual records related to the 2005 and 2006 Al Neil Project, and photographic slides, negatives, and prints of his performances and artworks. Series also includes a vinyl record of Al Neil’s 1980 album Boot & Fog.
