Scope & Content
File consists of two folders containing an exhibition catalogue, pamphlets, a press release, exhibition postcards, a grant application, receipts, correspondences, comment booklet, newspaper articles, photographs, negatives, and slides. The exhibition featured eight works constructed for the gallery. Klein is known for his large-scale manipulated photographs. Working in black and white, she creates apocalyptic images that resonate with current anxieties and give an X-ray view of the postmodern soul. Although abstract, Klein’s columns referred to history. The exhibition received funding from The Canada Council and the Goethe Institute. The exhibition ran February 20-March 28, 1992.
