File consists of a press release, a project description, correspondences, a comment booklet, catalogue list, newspaper articles, and slides. The exhibition featured material from the gallery's archive which document its exhibition history. The gallery's history records and reflects an important aspect of the cultural history of Vancouver as well as changing attitudes towards art, and shifts in consciousness over the years. The exhibition took place on the occasion of UBC's 75th anniversay as preparations began to build a new gallery on campus. The exhibition ran May 1-July 28, 1990.
