File consists of: correspondence between Coutts-Smith and Friedman concerning Coutts-Smith’s text Dadaism: A Socio-Cultural Approach, written in the summer of 1976 as a contribution to a written symposium published in 1978 by the magazine, Intermedia; a "call to dialogue" from the same magazine that predates the publication of its special issue on Dada/Anti-art/Krazy art and a manuscript version of the text that was submitted; a text entitled A Commentary on Dada, Anti-Art and Krazy Art by Friedman; extensive handwritten notes by Coutts-Smith with the headings "The Myth of the Homogeneity of the Modern Movement", "Polarity and Duality not the same thing", and other notes concerning avant-garde and dadaism; and an article by Friedman entitled Notes on the History of Alternative Publishing (1977).
