Rita Letendre

Rita Letendre (Abenaki/Quebecoise, 1928-2021) is internationally renowned as a painter, printmaker and muralist. She began her career in the 1950s in Montreal, working in abstraction and associating first with Les Automatistes and later with the more hard-edged, geometric Plasticiens.
