Biography

King Anderson is a Canadian painter, photographer, collagist, video artist and curator. He grew up on Vancouver Island and in West Vancouver, studying drawing, painting and design with Roy Kiyooka and others at the Vancouver School of Art between 1961 and 1964. Anderson studied art history at Simon Fraser University in the 1980s. He has exhibited his work internationally in Tokyo, Sydney and Seattle and nationally in Alberta and BC. His work is held in corporate and private collections, including the University of Victoria and the Belkin Art Gallery. Anderson currently lives and works on Hornby Island, BC.
