Marianne Nicolson

Marianne Nicolson (Musgamakw Dzawada’enuxw) is an artist and activist. She is trained in both traditional Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw forms and culture and contemporary gallery and museum-based practice. Her practice includes photography, painting, carving, video, installation, public art, writing and speaking. Her work seeks to uphold the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw traditional worldview through contemporary media and technology.
