Object Description

Item is a poster advertising a Decca Dance in honour of Art's Birthday, to be held at the Elk's Lodge, in Los Angeles, California, on February 2, 1974. The poster depicts Vincent Trasov dressed as Mr. Peanut accompanied by Eric Metcalfe dressed as Dr. Brute and playing a leopard-print saxophone. The invitation reads "In celebration of ART'S BIRTHDAY Lowell Darling and Willoughby Sharp present the Decca Dance with Image Bank, New York Corres Sponge Dance School of Vancouver, General Idea, John Dowd Fan Club, Mr. Peanut, Dr. Brute, Ace Space Co., and The Eternal Network."
