Object Description
Item is a boxed facsimile edition of Avalanche's complete run (1970-1976), with the first eight issues printed individually, and the final five issues in a single newsprint paperback. Avalanche was founded by Willoughby Sharp and Liza Béar, focusing on art from the perspective of artists rather than critics, and investigating new forms of art that were developing in the U.S. and Europe.
The set was printed in an edition of 1,000.
