Four Titled Abstracts

Item is a copy of "Four Titled Abstracts" by Joseph Kosuth. It is a multiple issued by Letter Edged in Black Press, as part of the portfolio S.M.S. [Shit Must Stop] #3. It consists of a folder printed with the title and the artists name, which contains four folded posters. Each poster is printed with the dictionary definition for the word "abstract". The posters are encased in numbered slipcovers, which are printed with the title "Titled (Art as Idea as Idea)"; the slipcover for poster number three is missing. Each poster is signed on the verso by the artist. According to the original accession record the artist signed the works when he visited Image Bank in Vancouver.
