Fresh Brown Egg - Chickako, A Chicken Story and Some Collected Chicken Facts

Item is two copies of a book titled "Fresh Brown Egg - Chickako, A Chicken Story and Some Collected Chicken Facts" by Carole Fisher [Carole Itter], self-published through He, She It Works who were also in charge of publishing Canada's National Magazine. It was published in 1971. One of the copies is numbered 31 and the other 35. The front cover has the title and a short paragraph giving the author and publisher information inside a line-drawing of a chicken. An orange egg has been drawn behind the chicken, the same colour as the marker used to number the books. Below the chicken is a black and white photograph of a person sitting down with an image behind them. The photograph is duplicated, the top version having an image of feather, and the bottom version having an egg. There is an Image Bank stamp mark at the top-centre in black ink. The back cover of copy number 31 is red, and the back cover of copy number 35 is yellow. The books contain black and white photographs stacked along the right hand side of the pages, while there is text on the left. There are several yellow pages with more line drawings of chickens. At the end of the books are questionnaires on yellow paper.
