Item is an audio recording of Captain James Cook's 1778 arrival at Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island as related from both the European and First Nations perspectives. Stories from Nootka oral tradition are told by Peter Webster and others. The item was produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and was a part of the Sound Heritage Series distributed by the Provincial Archives of British Columbia.
