Item is a print of Anna Banana's work Homage to Ray Johnson, with apologies to Michael Angelo. It is a parody of Michaelangelo's Creation of Adam where Banana's face replaces Adam and Ray Johnson replaces God. Banana is thinking "The guy's good but he made my arms WAY too long!" while saying to Johnson "Dear God! What's this MAIL ART I keep hearing about? Should I respond?. Johnson says "It's CORRESPONDENCE ART, not Mail Art! and DO respond! It's the most creative, fun art since DADA & Futurism, and I started it myself. (with a little help from fluxus)".
