Object Description

Item is a poster advertising "Tropical Rhythm Night" at the Ritz presented by Stephen Cohn. The event features Terra, Shock, The Dancing Coconuts, Aerodance Group, Coati Mundi, Kid Creole & The Savannah Band, and Stephen's Steel Drum Band. The poster is printed is cyan ink with yellow lettering. "Rhythm" in "Tropical Rhythm Night" is spelled out in bananas. A note in the top right of the poster reads "Christopher Rohn" in yellow text. The poster was reproduced from a collected item in Anna Banana's Encyclopaedia Bananica for her exhibition at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in 2015.
