Object Description
Item is a poster for "Representing AIDS: Art and Activism", which was a symposium organized by the UBC Fine Arts Gallery, now the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, in conjunction with the exhibition by the same name. The symposium was held on November 17, 1990 at the White Theatre in Robson Square Media Centre, and featured Donald Moffett, Simon Watney, and Douglas Crimp as speakers. The symposium was also supported by the Special Projects Assistance of THe Canada Council, Emily Carr College of Art & Design, and the Simon Fraser University Centre for the Arts.
