Item is a poster for an exhibition held at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery, now the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, from October 29 to November 15, 1969. The exhibition was of works by Dewain Valentine, and the poster describes it as "TEN NEW PIECES OF SCULPTURE / IN CAST POLYESTER RESIN / BY ONE OF AMERICA'S MOST / DISTINGUISHED / YOUNG SCULPTORS". The exhibition was also made possible through the cooperation of The Douglas Gallery in Vancouver, and the ACE Gallery in Los Angeles.
