The Float

Item is a video of the performance of The Float, where a group of artists floated and interacted with one of Carole Itter's assemblages in the Burrard Inlet in June 1993. The performance was conceived and produced by Carole Itter, and the video was used as part of an installation by the same name at the Or Gallery in 1995. The other artists participants Dominique Fraikin, Jill Fraser, Madonna Hamel, Esther Rausenberg, Jehanne Rogowski, Beatrix Schalk, Aki Yakimoto, Helen Yeomans, Shawn Chappelle, Robin Lawrence, and Rhoda Rosenfeld. The video was taken by Luke Blackstone and Trudy Rubenfeld, and it was edited by Luke Blackstone. The flautist for the soundtrack was Maxine Gadd, and the vocals were performed by Al Neil.
