Object Description

Item is an uncut sheet of 16 postcards for the Image Bank Post Card Show. It is double-sided, with black and white images on recto, and the postcard format printed on verso in blue ink. The verso alternately uses the words "THE IMAGE BANK POST CARD SHOW" or a line to create a divided back, with additional text and images different on each card, including text for stamp boxes. The 16 postcards are: "Ant Farmers and Image Bankers in Babyland" with nine portraits arranged in a grid on the front; "jigsaw" by Vincent Blue Pants, a photograph of Alex and Rodger with a jigsaw puzzle outline overlaid; "Marin County, California Window" by Jeff Berner; "Pork Picnic" by the North West Mounted Valise, a collage of image and text; a line drawing by Henry Greenhow, showing an abstract landscape with a body of water beside, greyscale shading in part, a small shark fin emerging from the waves, and the words "THE IDEA OF ORDER AT POINT GREY SCALE" typeset at bottom; "limousine" by Dr Brute, a drawing of leopard-spotted car; "Map of the World" by Carole Fisher, a composite image of photographed body parts; "Choice Canadian Imagery" by Christos Dikeakos, a photograph of a group of women dressed in fur coats; "CIGARETTE BURN / executed by Andy Warhol on Granada Gazelle for General Idea / New York, June, 1971.", in two photographs, one close up with a drawn-on circle and arrow indicating the burn, and a longer shot showing Granada kneeling on the floor apparently modelling the close up; a street photograph, titled "Adventures of Art Rat in London" attributed to Art Rat; a collage, titled "Side with hand holding match" by David UU; image and text by Bill Vazan, with a graphic diagram of circles, some filled in, suggesting a seating plan, with text "CANADA / 32 & 10" above, and "BALLING ATTICA" below; two postcards with photographs of meals and accompanying texts noting site and menu, attributed to "THE BRITISH COLUMBIA CENTENIAL MEALS SERIES" by "CANADA'S NATURAL MAGIZINE"; a drawing by Tim Mancusi, of a full-rigged ship on water with multiple spheres illustrated in the sky; a signed portrait of a man, apparently antique, titled "Otto Henricksen (1853-1896) Grandfather of American Artist Geoff Hendricks (1931- )" and attributed to Geoff Hendricks.
