Object Description: Pedestal bowl with flaring mouth rim. Pedestal thrown separately, faceted, and fluted to bowl. Iron-speckled beige stoneware. Body speckling through soft grey-white translucent glaze of celadon quality (William's Lake). Overglaze brush decoration of cherry blossom within bowl, darkened Chinese cobalt pigment of warm, very dark blue. -Charmian Johnson, 2005 Studio ceramics
