Object Description: Unomi (drinking bowl) of winter form, thickened rim. Iron speckled brown stoneware. Interior coated with white clay slip, body-speckling showing strongly through a fat oatmeal glaze of apple ash. Exterior and rim washed with thin underglaze cobalt pigment and thick overglaze brush decoration of dark slip. Foot unglazed. -Charmian Johnson, 2005 Studio ceramics
