- Object Description
- Vase (weighty) of cylindrical form spiralled by throwing marks, narrowing at shoulders to short neck and out turned truncated lip, narrowing bevel cut toward base. Form altered in two places by 'explosive' splash of wet clay. Very coarse brown stoneware containing rock fragments. Interior and pours to exterior of honey brown glaze with a brushed banding of dark pigment encircling lower body. Foot unglazed. Shard of kiln neighbour adhering to upper body.
