Object Description: Vase with slightly bulging faceting to lower body. Flat bare. Grey iron-speckled porcellanous stoneware burned to rich brown. Dark underglaze slip of Chinese cobalt-iron-manganese pigment to exterior reducing a warm matte black on side away from salt glaze bearing flame and oxidizing into vertical flows of blue green melting where in direct path of salt glaze flame. -Charmian Johnson, 2005 Studio ceramics
