- Object Description
- Vase of cylindrical form, inturned, recessed mouth rim. Body faceted to slightly waisted, waist ringed with repeats of doubly impressed parallel lines, foot bevelled to flat base. Grey iron-speckled stoneware burned brown. Slip of Chinese cobalt applied to exterior and mouth rim fusing blue with salt glaze, some streaked flame flashing at one side, interior iron-speckled clear salt glaze. -Charmian Johnson, 2005
