Object Description
Item is a t-shirt created by the ReMatriate Collective, an Indigenous women's art collective that uses social media and other means to empower and Indigenous peoples, particularly women, through art interventions. Item reads "REMATRIATE" amid a floral design. Item was sold during the Beginning with the Seventies: COLLECTIVE ACTS in 2018. As the third in the Beginning with the Seventies series of exhibitions, COLLECTIVE ACTS taps into the generative potential of archival research by artists into experiments with collective organizing and cooperative production.
