Object Description
Item is a photograph of an image from the Image Bank 1984 Project. The event consisted of a call for images to be sent to the Image Bank (Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov) relating to George Orwell's novel "1984". Image is various text clippings and photographs. "It might be new to you but we've been living it a long time" is printed on the middle portion of the frame. Upper right portion is a photograph of 7 seated individuals and "The Economy" printed in vertically-oriented script. Upper left is a photograph with the caption, "Girls awaiting Miss Teen-Age contest call, Houma, LA". Lower right is a photograph with the caption "Astronauts testing strength of lunar surface". Lower left is a photograph with the partially visible caption "...first lesson is his place in line".
