Object Description
Item is a postcard sent from Robert Cumming to the Image Bank (Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov). The card contains a photograph of a ship converted to a fish 'n' chip stand called "Tugboat Annie's." The verso is rubber stamped "Lure of the Sea" with handwritten text: "R. Cumming - "Lure of the Sea" - Claremont, Calif. - 8/27/72. Dear M. Bank, Thanks for the 8HO London Bridge epic from the paper. I remember seeing that very shot years ago. Just watched an hour special starring Tom Jones and the bridge. Jones in need of support and sporting a definite double-chin. Here we have the tug in dry-dock alongside the Colonel. Adjoining berths. How are the socks drying on the city gray-scale radiators? Please delineate and elaborate on new idiom: "thin nostrils." Who is Anagram, Toronto? Cumming 8/27/72 Orange, Calif."
