Art-Rite, No. 15, Surroundings

Item is number fifteen of the magazine Art-Rite. The magazine was edited, written, and put together by artists Edit DeAk and Walter Robinson, and ran twenty one issues between 1973 and 1978. The magazine contained reviews of artists' work, poetry, and articles discussing modern art and art critics. Item is a special issue by artist Rosemary Mayer that includes fragments of text, photographs, appropriated images of the work of Jacopo da Pontormo, and hand drawn elements brought together in collage. The photographs are of street scenes, and focus on the everyday activities of people.
