Object Description
Item is number two of the magazine Art-Rite. The magazine was edited, written, and put together by artists Edit DeAk and Walter Robinson, and ran twenty one issues between 1973 and 1978. The magazine contained reviews of artists' work, poetry, and articles discussing modern art and art critics. Item contains articles featuring the following: characteristics of conceptual art, a biography of art critic Max Kozloff, a review of Yvonne Rainer's film This is the Story of a Woman Who..., Photo Realism and erotic art, an exhibition of Patrick Ireland at 112 Greene gallery, 'Loft Reviews' article reviewing the work of artists C. Vann Hilty, Norman Tuck, and Lucio Pozzi, an essay on modern art focusing on Carl Andre, and a short contribution by guest critic John Harrington.
