Rebecca Belmore (Anishinaabe, b. 1960) is a member of the Lac Seul First Nation. She addresses history, place and identity through sculpture, installation, video, photography and performance. Belmore’s work weaves together stories of bodies, land and language, questioning the authority and truth of established narratives.
