File contains slides that relate to American artist and photographer David Hlynsky. David Hlynsky immigrated to Canada in 1971 working for Coach House Press and was on the board of directors for A Space in Toronto. Hlynsky photographed the first issue of FILE magazine which featured Vincent Trasov as Mr. Peanut in 1972, and has also photographed portraits of numerous artists in the Intermedia movement. He has exhibited at the Western Front in Vancouver in 1976, an artist-run centre co-founded by Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov. File contains an image of David Hlynsky and various objects.
