Scope & Content
File contains images taken at Babyland, a property near Roberts Creek in British Columbia that hosted artists for research, collaborations, performances and experimental practices. The file contains images directly related to "Colour Research", as well as portraits of people at Babyland including Michael Morris, and Marien Lewis from A Space in Toronto giving ceramic artist Michael Henry a haircut. Babyland was the site for the development of "Colour Research". "Colour Research" is a collaboration between Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov with the involvement of artists in the Intermedia movement in Vancouver, which features the "Colour Bar" in various urban and natural landscapes. The File also contains an image of "Mr. Peanut", a project and alias of Vincent Trasov. Mr. Peanut ran for mayor of Vancouver in 1974.
