Scope & Content
File contains images taken at Babyland, a property near Roberts Creek in British Columbia that hosted artists for research, collaborations, performances and experimental practices. The images show "Colour Research" and candids of people at Babyland, including Slobodan Saia-Levy, who also went by the alias Jorge Zontal and was a part of the artist collective General Idea. Babyland was the site for the development of "Colour Research". "Colour Research" is a collaboration between Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov with the involvement of artists in the Intermedia movement in Vancouver, which features the "Colour Bar" in various urban and natural landscapes. The file contains images of the words "Children of Hollywood", which was a concept that used Babyland as a kind of set to build new realities and mythologies. The file also contains images of the "Hand of the Spirit" wand.
