Helen Goodwin fonds

Fonds consists of material reflecting Helen Goodwin's career as a choreographer and her personal life. It is arranged into four series:

1. Collected audiovisual materials series (35.1)
2. Dance and choreography practice series (35.2)
3. Personal photographs and videos series (35.3)
4. Unknown materials series (35.4)

Fonds includes records relating to Goodwin's practice as a dancer and choreographer, including audio recordings of soundscapes, audio samples, and warm up music used in dance routines; a visual score of a dance; a video recording of a movement workshop; and a drum. Personal records in the fonds includes photographs, slides, and video recordings of Goodwin and her family. The fonds includes a collection of published and unpublished audio recordings, video recordings, and slides that pertain to the work of other artists, documentaries, music, and other subjects that may be indicative of Goodwin's other interests. A large proportion of the fonds includes unlabelled or sparsely labelled audiovisual materials whose subject matter is unclear; due to the nature of the format, the materials cannot be listened to or watched by Belkin Gallery staff at this time.
