Scope & Content

File consists of two folders containing an exhibition pamphlet, press release, grant application, exhibition postcards, exhibition labels, artist's curriculum vitae, correspondences, bound comment booklet, The Glove an essay by Lisa Roberts, newspaper articles, and slides. The exhibition featured the work of seven women who represented an exciting, emerging generation of Vancouver artists. The multi-media group show featured works relating to codes of behaviour and belief, in an attempt to dispel the damaging illusions of mass culture images of "heroism" and "romance." The artists in the exhibition were Deborah Dunn, Laura Lamb and Brenna George, Nancy Shaw, Kathy Slade, Lisa Robertson, Kathryn Walter and Jin-me Yoon. The exhibition was shown at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery August 1 to September 14, 1991.
