File consists of five folders containing an exhibition catalogue, press release, correspondence, grant applications, loan agreement, budgets, receipts, flyers, comment booklet, an "Act Up" rally poster, artist's biography, the Arts (1990), Front: Day Without Art (1990), newspaper articles, photographs, and slides. The exhibition was by two New York artists, Donald Moffett and Felix Gonzalez-Torres. Both artist works were engaged in art relating to homophobia in the AIDS crisis. The exhibition was shown at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery November 16 to December 21, 1990. In conjunction with the exhibition, the gallery organized a symposium with Donald Moffett, Douglas Crimp, and Simon Watney. The symposium was held in the White Theatre at Robson Square Media Centre on November 17, 1990. In collaboration with the Western Front, the gallery held two related exhibitions at the Front Gallery: AIDS Demographics and Looking at the Revolution: Photographs and Video. These projects received support from the Canada Council.
