An Exhibition of Bowls by Charmian Johnson

File consists of a exhibition invitations, a press release, loan agreements, condition reports, comment booklet, list of lenders, catalogue list, and newspaper articles. The exhibition was the first formal public exhibition of the artists work since she began potting 20 years ago. For almost eight years Johnson had concentrated on the production of bowls—small, precise, elegant. The form offers her the ultimate challenge, that of reconciling foot to bowl, inside to outside, glaze to body, and pot to kiln location. The exhibition included 74 works. The exhibition ran October 29-December 21, 1985.
