Scope & Content
File consists of a festival pamphlet, correspondence, receipts, customs forms, press release, catalogue lists, comment booklet, and newspaper articles. The exhibition ran in conjunction with the 9th Festival of Contemporary Arts and included twenty-seven works by some of the more exploratory younger artists on the American scene in the late 1960s. Included were works by; Darby Bannard, Billy Al Bengston, Joe Goode, Robert Hudson, Sol LeWitt, Ed Ruscha, Richard Tuttle, Larry Zox, and others representing a diversity in art forms including abstract expressionism, anti-form, and minimal-modular. Organized by the American Federation of Arts, the exhibition was shown at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery January 27 to February 18, 1969.
