Scope & Content

File consists of an exhibition pamphlet, correspondence, press release, newspaper articles, comment booklet, and photographs. The exhibition was a reflection among Vancouver artists of the widespread interest in producing groups, series, and sequences of objects, which represent varying schools of artistic method in much the same way as artists were defined by the distinct ‘periods’ through which they evolved. Artists included were Iain Baxter, Bob Bigelow, B.C. Binning, Claude Breeze, Audrey Capel Doray, Brian Fisher, Gary Lee-Nova, Duane Lunden, Jack Shadbolt, Joel Smith, Takao Tanabe, Ian Wallace. The exhibition was shown at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery July 2 to August 16, 1968.
