Scope & Content
File consists of five folders containing an exhibition catalogue, poster, correspondence, receipts, press release, catalogue lists, newspaper articles, comment booklet, photographs and slides. The exhibition was organized by UBC Fine Arts students as part of a FA 477 project examining of the idea of chairiness, incorporating the Warehouse Principle of Installation. The exhibition featured chairs, including stacking chairs, hanging chairs, high chairs, low chairs, folding chairs, rocking chairs, revolving chairs, wheel chairs, and others including Premier Bennett’s office chair and the UBC Chancellor’s chair. One free haircut per day was given in the barber’s chair. The exhibition was shown at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery February 29 to March 16, 1968.
