Scope & Content
File consists of an exhibition catalogue, correspondence, receipts, press release, comment booklet, newspaper articles, and photographs. The first exhibition featured drawings and watercolours by two Maxwell Bates and Eric Metcalfe. The second exhibition featured works by three "sophisticated primitives," Winifred Warters, Esther Rogatnick, and Hugh Calverley, characterized as "naïve" artists. The third exhibition featured 32 works of Persian and Indian Miniatures from the late 11th to the 19th century.The three exhibitions were shown concurrently at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery November 2 to 18, 1967.
