Scope & Content
File consists of an exhibition pamphlet, correspondence, press release, catalogue list, newspaper articles, photographs, and slides. The exhibition was circulated by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York. It consisted of enlarged photographs and plans of 148 projects in 28 countries, selected by Arthur Drexler, Director of MoMA's Department of Architecture and Design. The exhibition showed engineering projects at architectural scale, such as dams, spillways, tunnels, earthworks, roads, bridges, as well as giant instruments, enclosures for storage, work and public assembly. The exhibition included works by Robert Maillart, Felix Candela, Pier Luigi Nervi, Buckminster Fuller, and others. The exhibition was shown at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery March 13 to 23, 1967.
