Scope & Content

File consists of an exhibition catalogue, catalogue lists, correspondence, and a newspaper article. The exhibition featured a collection of 53 works from an exhibition organized by the London Public Library and Art Museum, Ontario. The paintings were not expressly part of the surrealist movement, but are nevertheless, surrealistic in character. Included were works by André, Bates, Borduas, Dallaire, Nichols, Stegeman, Urquhart, and others. The exhibition was shown at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery from July 8 to August 14, 1964.
