Scope & Content

File consists of exhibition catalogues and newspaper articles. The exhibition featured thirty sculptures, including works by Joan Brandvold, Franz Carius, Gerhard Class, Robert Clothier, Vivian Cousland, Lilias Farley, Otto Fischer-Credo, Jack Harman, Marvin Richard Levitt, Myra Butterfield, David Marshall, Olea Davis, George Norris, Thomas Kakinuma, Frank Perry, Elza Mayhew, Peter Ochs, Santa Mignosa, and Jan Zach. The sculptures were judged, and the University committee voted, awarding Madonna of the Cedars by Alfred E. Carlsen first place. The exhibition ran on the UBC campus July 9 to August 22, 1958.
