Scope & Content

File consists of an exhibition catalogue, signs, receipts, correspondence, and newspaper articles. The exhibition was organized by the Pasadena Art Museum and included paintings by Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Alexi von Jawlensky, and Lionel Feininger. The artists were named "The Blue Four" by Madame Galka Scheyer who was their friend and agent in the United States. This exhibition was part of a larger collection formed by Madame Scheyer. The exhibition ran at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery from July 23 to August 18, 1956.
