Scope & Content
File consists of reissued stamps, envelopes, and labels, from original 1960s designs by Robert Watts. The reissued materials were produced for "Off Limits: Rutgers University and the Avant-Garde, 1957-1963", an exhibition held at the Newark Museum, between February 18 and May 16, 1999. It includes two sheets of stamps, one printed in blue and one printed in red ink, as well as two packages of 6 postcards each, and one envelope of labels. The sheets of stamps consist of reprints from "SAFEPOST / K.U.K.-FELDPOST / JOCKPOST [W. C. FIELDS]", 1961; "YAM-FLUG 5-POST-5", 1963; "SAFEPOST / K.U.K.-FELDPOST / JOCKPOST", 1962; all by Robert Watts. It also includes reprints of "BLINK", 1962-1963, by Robert Watts in collaboration with George Brecht and Alison Knowles. The postcards include images of "AIR MAIL LUNA", 1984. The labels advertise the exhibition, and the Robert Watts Estate.
