Subseries consists of Balkind's writing and includes: fiction, correspondence, travel writing, reports, and non-fiction works. Correspondence in the subseries includes letters to and from B.C. Binning, Jack and Doris Shadbolt, George Knox, John Waters, Glenn Lewis, Zeljko Kujundzic, principal of the Kootenay School of Art, and many others. Included in this subseries are two plays by Don Druick and records related to a cabaret series Balkind and friends were organizing in the 1980s. The subseries includes 15 notebooks and 2 datebooks which have Balkind's thoughts, musings, contact information of friends and professionals, lists, and other miscellaneous information.
