Escaping Gas subseries

Subseries consists of files concerning Alvin Balkind's unpublished semi-autobiographical work Escaping Gas. The subseries includes his notes, themed files for sections of the work, various newspaper and magazine clippings with his thoughts attached, and many versions of the work as it was edited and revised over the years 1989-1991. Also included is a file of correspondence dealing mainly with publisher's rejections of Escaping Gas and lists of publishers it was sent to, as well as some correspondence and references to other shorter pieces. Two photographs of Balkind are also included.
